I am an extrovert that loves to travel. I am currently a student at a small college in Virginia studying social work. I have spent time with my family traveling around the United States and also spent a semester studying abroad in Guatemala and Cuba. I want to extend my travels to other continents and experience other people's cultures through personal connections and experiences. I want to learn more about the world, without becoming "that annoying tourist". Which can be difficult being a white American male.
I am laid back and easy going. I don't mind when plans change and often take the role of calming people down when they get uptight.

I believe that Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people. I want travel the world and see the popular sights but not just stop there. I also want to learn about culture and real individual's lives. I want to learn about a place and culture through the eyes of a local, not a tour guide. I believe there is nothing more valuable then making a friend in a new place.
One day when I have a house or apartment I hope to host couchsurfers.

兴趣

I am a huge human rights activist and strong feminist. I try to think about how my actions affect people, especially people without strong voices who are not privileged.
I love psychology, sociology, outdoor activities (hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, caving, really anything exciting and outside). I am also a bit of an adrenalin junky, and am happy anytime I'm on top of a mountain.
I am also an avid Liverpool fan and love playing pickup and rec league soccer. I enjoy playing all sports but don't get very competitive.
