here are some of my favorite things: beet juice staining my fingertips, being a little bit awake and then falling back asleep, finding the exact right word to describe something, riding my bike on a warm evening in the midst of a glorious Iowa sunset, watching the credits roll after an excellent movie and just taking a moment to bask in its afterglow, being in a room with any number of my favorite people and sitting back for a second and watching them do their thing and thinking "how did I get so lucky!!"

I'm creative, goofy, and open-minded. I think a lot, about many things. Communication, self-awareness, and justice are very important to me. I like to talk, make art, look at bugs, play guitar, sing, dance, watch movies, play word games, read, bike, and cook, and I'd be happy to do any of those things with you.

Right now I'm embarking on a big adventure! I'll be traveling all over the US from May through August, then moving somewhere new. Along the way I'm hoping to participate avidly in this world of ours--I want to meet all kinds of people and see their places and listen to their stories. Maybe you can help me with that!

Someday... someday I will be stable, and then you can come stay with me and meet my pet snake Bear Grylls.

movies: I love movies so much!! right now I can't shut up about Swiss Army Man and The Lobster (so you know I like experimental indie stuff)... but I also live and die for 90s action movies (e.g. Point Break, Face/Off, Con Air, The Long Kiss Goodnight, The Rock), and queer cinema (Moonlight, Carol, Bound) always makes me cry.

books: I'm all over the place when it comes to reading (and still recovering from post-college literary ennui), but my absolute favorite book is The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson! I'm currently making my way through House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski, Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, and Strangers in their Own Land by Arlie Russell Hochschild
