I am an engineering student from Portland, OR. Grew up partially in Minnesota, and partially out in Portland, which means I can deal with pretty much all types of weather - rain, snow, or shine!
I love learning, and experiencing new things. I am a total history nerd, which means I always love a good story.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As above mentioned, I am currently a college student, which means money is a little tight. However, I don't want that to stop me from traveling and experiencing new places. In addition, I love talking to new people, and hearing their stories. Couchsurfing seemed a great way to meet a bunch of friendly, new, interesting people while also exploring a bunch of new places!

I am interested by pretty much anything, but specifically (in no particular order): history, art, aeronautics, German language, philosophy, science in general, and music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to music broadly, with a focus on indie. Some of my favorite bands are the Mountain Goats, the Antlers, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Sufjan Stevens, and the Black Keys. I love hearing other people's favorite bands as well!
Movies: The Apartment, Metropolis, Star Wars (the original 3), Whiplash, and Love Actually
Books: Too many to count, but The Stranger by Albert Camus, Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Crush by Richard Siken, Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut, and the Game of Thrones books.
