Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love visiting new places, getting to know different cultures, vegetarian cooking (and also eating ;-)) ... I think it's more important to see life in and people of a city than to see the typical tourist attractions.

Interests

Hanging out with other people, having a beer and just talk... It's so interesting, what people can tell you - you just have to listen. (Ok, it depends on your dialogue partner.. ;-))

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2014 we built a school (or more precisely we built new classrooms for an existing school) in Lusaka, Zambia, as a project of my university. It was awesome to see how glad the people were - especially the pupils who gave us love letters every day. One day, while we were working, a worship took place and we were invited to join it. I will never forget the little boy, bound to his mother's back, that wasn't even able to walk, who smiled at me, listened to the music the community made and clapped his little hands in step to the music.
