I'm a 22 year old law graduated living in the south region of Brazil, in the city of Maringá, state of Paraná. I intend to study masters in criminology at the University of Porto and my plan is to move there by april.

I always loved meeting different people around the world and learning new languages. I'm also a book lover, horror movie addicted and junky food obsessed. I like to listen indie rock bands and talk about the greatest mysteries of the universe till 4 a.m.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Brazil is a huge country and it can get very expensive and even dangerous to travel by myself. However, since I have plans to be living in Europe in 2020, I hope I can enjoy what Couchsurfing has to offer. I want to have an amazing experience while travelling by myself, meeting nice people that would help me to explore to the maximum the cities where they live and understand their cultures from their day life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have tons of favourite books, movies and songs.

Literature is one of my greatest passions. I usually read a good amount of books every year and I love discussing them with people that are also interested. I like to read all sort of stuff (except for Y.A. and too much romance) and some of my favourite authors are Edgar Allan Poe, Gabriel García Marquez, Hermann Hesse, Jean-Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Haruki Murakami, George Orwell, Machado de Assis, José Saramago, Milan Kundera, Charles Bukowski, Dostoiévski, Tolstoi, Vargas Llosa and Franz Kafka.

Like I said, I'm a horror movie addicted and like every part of this genre (from thrillers to pure and simple gore), although I like other types of movies too. I tend to prefer watching foreign and underground/low budget movies. I love european, korean and south american cinema. Besides horror, I usually watch drama and sci-fi. I'm not much into comedy and romance.

Most of times I listen to isolated songs, not the entire album of a band. I know, I'm missing all the "story" and concept that it probably has but I guess its a habit and its how music better talks with me. I can listen to almost everything, but indie rock songs have my heart even before the play. Some of my favourites bands and artists are the Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, Jake Bugg, Barns Courtney, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, The Smiths, The Kooks, The Neighbourhood, Belchior, MGMT, Foster the People, Stromae, Portugal. The Man, BORNS, Greta Van Fleet, Milky Chance, Pixies, The Strokes, Bastille, Rubel, Vanguart, Selvagens à Procura de Lei, Phoenix, among others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer a very talkative and curious personality (and some portuguese classes, in case you are interested). I'm responsible and clean. I will be always looking for tips and advices for my trip but I'm also an independent and careful person.

I also can give you some orientation about how not get arrested when you go to Brazil, but that's a plus.
