About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Want to meet people and surf couches on the travels I'm embarking on for the next few years.
ABOUT ME
I'm a nice girl, pretty easy to get on with. A fairly ridiculous Dolly Parton fan (I want to be either her or Emma Thompson when I grow up). I'm interested in the arts, sailing, flying. One of my big ambitions for the next few years is to be a crew member on an international sailing trip. In an ideal world, this would be on a tall ship, so I can feel like a pirate. A common way of passing August is for me working up at the Edinburgh Festival :)
I love festivals generally, particularily when any of Sigur Ros, Patti Smith, Amy Winehouse, Bat for Lashes, Nick Cave, Joanna Newsom or Seasick Steve are playing.
Latitude festival is one of my favourite things, as is spending hours and hours of my life chatting in coffeeshops. Otherwise, I enjoy galleries, museums, shopping, live music, lazing around in the park with friends. I love days that begin normally and end somewhere you never knew existed :)
I'm gay, which I'd prefer put here than have any problems with being found out later.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've already put music down, but I'll repeat Sigur Ros, I love them that much. Classical from all over the place. Northern Soul, old lady singers like Billie Holiday and Etta James, Acousticy folky stuff, Tegan and Sara, Tom Waits, good pop (Girls Aloud are amazing and I won't be told otherwise)
Favourite books include; Wicked, The Field Guide to getting Lost, Wide Sargasso Sea, Bleak House, The Hours, Valley of the Dolls, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Mrs Dalloway, anything by Roald Dahl, anything by Mark Doty, Bill Bryson, Under the Tuscan Sun, The Historian.
