I’m Isabel, 24 years old and I just finished my studies of Social Work in Freiburg. In September 2017 I moved to London to do an internship in a bilingual nursery for one year. Doing this step out of my everyday life was very exciting but I already could gain a lot new experiences.

I would describe myself as an open-minded, honest and relaxed person.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Last summer (2016) me and a friend were traveling through South of England and tried out Couchsurfing the first time. It was such an enriching experience and great possibility to meet new people that I decided to finally set up an account for myself.
For my time in London I hope to meet new people who can show me some interesting and hidden places or who just would like to have a cup of coffee.

兴趣

I like every kind of creative stuff like drawing, painting, DIY and handcrafting. When I have enough time I also love cooking and trying out new and challenging recipes (so far everything was edible ;)). Music is another important thing for me. I like dancing and singing, both on medium-level, but I decided for myself that fun is most important!
Of course I like traveling, discovering new places and getting to know people.

I can’t tell one specific film-, music- or book genre I prefer. Concerning books I like reading fantasy novels, as they give me the opportunity to kind of escape from reality. The music I’m listening to depends on my mood and could be a mixture of rock, pop, acoustic and classical music.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I redesigned my drawer by sticking patterned paper on it. Maybe this doesn’t sound as amazing but it was my first ‘DIY-project’. I still love the result!
