CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to always be creative, open-minded, and full of laughter. My mission is to make art and music, to respect myself, other living beings, and our environment. My mission is to travel and experience as much as I can in this lifetime.

ABOUT ME

I come from New Mexico originally, but now I live in Santa Cruz, CA (while also spending a lot of time in Berkeley, CA staying with my boyfriend Benji Hannus). We love to attend music festivals and shows in the Northern CA region, and feel we are very lucky to be part of such a vibrant community. I am currently getting my associate's degree in drawing and painting at Cabrillo College, and hope to soon transfer to a university in Spain to finish getting my bachelor's degree. I love to travel (of course!) and want to see all the continents in my lifetime. My long-term goal is to combine my talents in art with my desire to affect positive change, possibly starting some kind of non-profit that somehow combines art with helping people in need.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a pretty deep question to put into one paragraph... but here goes: I believe in using my talents and resources to help others as much as myself, and be grateful for the infinite blessings this life has given me. I try to be a positive force, but still be realistic. I believe in creativity, which can come in many forms. I believe in living a life that is in balance with nature, though I know there is always more I (and the human race) could do to maintain this balance. I believe in love and laughter and light.

Interesses

Drawing, painting, listening to music and seeing live shows, singing, beatboxing, freestyling, reading, hiking, swimming, cliff jumping, tree climbing, dancing, dressing in costumes, writing rhymes, cooking and eating healthy and delicious food, and most importantly sharing all these things with the ones I love (but still be able to find time to myself)!

I saw the Napali coast (the breathtaking cliffs on the N. shore of Kauai, Hawaii) from a doorless helicopter, nothing between me and the ocean cliffs but salty air. Thank you big brother for the present Christmas/birthday present ever!
