About Me

Share the sparkles. Give hope and dreams.

I thought I knew who I was by taking a certain direction but soon realized that by taking so many damn directions, my actions had or have nothing to do with who I truly am. We are impermanent, mutable.

Today I travel, I have the chance to meet people from all corners of the world, I take photos, I walk a lot, I do yoga. Through this I find happiness :)

. . . Find Love and Give it Right Back - Project

Hey there, I'm working on a personal project and currently looking for inspiring participants. Thought couchsurfing was the perfect community to ask to, colorful, diverse, open minded, social... and since I am traveling for the next two years, I'll be spending a lot of time with surfers. That might be you! I'm looking for people that want to share their everyday passion / lifestyle with me. It might be bee keeping, your favorite camping spot, frog hunting, your running route, fishing, picking flowers, canoeing, your daily market stop, the peaceful place you go to when you feel like it,.... or it might even be your job! I am wanting to take a few photographs and a very short video and/or write an article about it. I am doing this all over the world and will eventually publish it on my website with your consent. Hope you are interested. I am just a curious human being that want to share sparkles in the eyes. Through your happiness I wish I can give hope and dreams to others. Please do not hesitate to contact me! it means a lot to me and without you it wouldn't be possible. Let me know what is it you would like to share and where, so we can meet up and talk about it. Love, Isabelle. . . .

Future trips: Eastern europe/Middle east India (again) Africa Hike New Zealand, North to South. South and Central America (is calling)

Less is more.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Host, surf, meet!

Southeast Asia was the first destination where I've been participating to Cs. I was lucky enough to travel with an experienced cs who opened the door for me. I attended meet ups, surfed and hosted in the US, Montreal and Asia. I had only great experiences!

Love in general, which is why people interest me as well. Photography - writing - arts (video, painting, drawing, crafting) Basketball; Thinking of joining a team again. Living things (plants, animals, insects, people...) Bees.... I have a dream: three beehives + a big backyard, a garden, a table in the middle of all this and 30+ of my friends enjoying themselves around homemade cuisine. Yoga, meditation. Curious about achievement, motivation, discipline. Senses. Tea. Books. Singing and dancing. Running and biking.

Had a conversation in none-identify language with Japenese women in a sento in Osaka. Discover the BEST "New-York style" bagel in Tokyo! Ride the top of a bus for hours in the Philippines mountains. Scooter journeys all over Asia on every kind of road and weather conditions. Walk through a village where a tourist had never laid foot. Have been request by a village's old-lady medium (with the prettiest eyes I ever seen) Have been invited by Vietnamese at a near-death celebration of an old man that broke his hip. We got hand fed and drank hard with the family. Surfed 10 days in a csurfer's home while he was gone: that was one of the most generous act and trust towards another CSurfer I ever seen. I survived an avalanche on my way to ice caves. ... to name a few!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in learning your own way, without a school program or any diploma. Many great people inspire/influence me in my life and you are no exception. All you need is love for what you do, who you are, for people around you and who you meet today. Memories are made in a fraction of second.

I don't pretend excelling in anything but I can teach you: -French -yoga -how to wear a scarf ...

I can show you how to: -draw with crayons, watercolors or Japanese ink -enjoy tea -wine tasting -take picture -dance in the rain -catch snowflakes with your mouth -eat maple taffy -make an origami cube -braid -moisturize a beard ... just need to ask! I certainly want to learn from you!
