(I am a young fish in a big pond of the world) living in Montreal, studying Performance Creation at Concordia University. Lately I've been overwhelmed with thoughts of sincerity within performance, how to live by your values in a dark and looming world of instant gratification, ways that I can live my life gently but directly, and how I should redecorate my room.

I think the best way to travel is by approaching every adventure as an opportunity to learn and expand, and to connect with others. To get to know people from the places where one visits! Everything is an exchange! I see Couchsurfing as a way for me to help others to better understand and explore my city, and for the me learn from and explore the places of others. AND even better, couchsurfing supports alternative forms of traveling and of economic choices. HURRAY!

Gypsy folk, psychedelic rock, punk, garage rock, big band swing, jazz, blues. I love documentaries films and I have a nostalgia for black and white classics. I love reading academic articles ( I know...ughh) poetry, and novellas for the winter, and thick paperbacks for the summer. EE Cummings, Anne Carson, Haruki Murakami, Sylvia Plath, Milan Kundera, JD Saligner are the first that come to mind.

I love to cook for others and to learn new recipes, I love leading workshops in performance creation, site-speicifc performance, or working with chance operations. I love to garden and farm, and I am a budding bike mechanic and wannabe seamstress.

I can share my knowledge of Montreal! Where the treasures of restaurants, cafes, music venues, streets are located. I can give you the rundown of most of the climbing gyms in the city. I can let you know what sort of workshops or events are going on, and I can bring you along to various dance and theatre shows, potlucks, and get togethers!
