Overview
About Me
I´m a curious person with a strong interest in society, politics and global correlations. Also, I love to learn about the way of life and dynamics of different people, cultures and nationalities, always longing for getting to know new perspectives and life concepts.
One of my permanent missions is to do as less harm to this world as possible. I´m a vegetarian and try to consume in a fair way, repair things instead of throwing them away as I believe that sustainability is more about the life span of things than about a mostly green-washed footprint. Still I know that I´m far away from perfection, as for instance I didn´t succeed to abandon motorcycling and using airplanes once in a while.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In 2014, I made my first couchsurfing experiences on a trip through Israel and Palestine. The impact the hosts had on our trip was unbelievably valuable. We had great conversations, were shown hidden places we´d never found on our own, the hosts shared their insider perspectives with us and we had good times (we arranged our stays with the account of my friends, so in case you´d like to connect with the hosts to ask them about me, just let me know and I will bring you in touch).

Music, Movies, and Books
BOOKS
Lately, I can make sense from (or simply enjoy) Garcia-Marquez, Roth, Olga Grjasnowa, Shani Boianjiu, Sorokin.
I´m currently looking for contemporary Russian writers besides Sorokin (unfortunately there has to be a german or english translation) who can give me a hint of aspects of the Russian society today, as I plan to travel to St. Petersburg in August. Recommendations are very welcome.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending the night at the beach of the Dead Sea during a hurricane (or at least really strong going wind) and reading a novel to my friends wearing a headlamp.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach a yoga headstand and show how to bake bread with sourdough.
