About Me

I’m a 28-year-old artist from Vienna/Austria. I studied Japanese and art history, and now work as a freelance graphic designer :-) I spend most of my time reading, studying, drawing, taking photos or overthinking 💭

I see the world in cinemascope, there I so much beauty in this world, and traveling has become an important source of inspiration for me. It has taught me so much about life - not only my own life, but the diversity of it all around the world.

Needless to say, I don’t waste an opportunity to get out of my country and discover something new, sometimes without thinking it through and ending up stranded in the middle of nowhere lol… I always end up having fun anyway!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it’s a great way to connect with like-minded people. I’ve made friends for life through this app and I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for all the magical moments I’ve shared with total strangers all across the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

📖 Kafka, Murakami, Bulgakov, Dostoevsky, Capote, Vonnegut, Dahl to just name a few.
🎬 I‘m a big fan of Stanley Kubrik, David Lynch, Gaspar Noe, also really into science fiction.
🎵 don’t even know where to begin…. Been listening to a lot of soul, funk, jazz, ambient, psychedelic rock lately, but you’ll catch me listening to Rachmaninov followed by Cradle of Filth on my way to the grocery store too ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lost my wallet in every country I’ve been to and somehow managed to get it back every single time (my guardian angel is working crazy overtime)

Got to spend time with indigenous tribes in the Amazon and the Caribbean coast

Traveled through the US for 2 months using nothing but couch surfing

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach and learn languages, share thoughts and ideas, and I’m always down for cool art projects!
I speak English fluently and my Spanish got me through Colombia with no problems, as did my Japanese in Japan. Happy to share all of that and then some!
But most likely we’ll learn the most unexpected things from each other by just sitting at the beach and chatting
