About Me

ABOUT ME

Hey you, potential new friend! I am a very friendly, chill person. I grew up in NYC and am damn proud of it; living in such a diverse city really cultivated my curiosity and love of other cultures.

I like to try different things, meet new people, wander around and discover cities' secret sides. I love listening to people and hearing what they have to say about their country and culture and sharing my own culture.
I also love dancing, especially blues and swing. I cannot live without music and dance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people. Knowing the insider tips to a city and being able to discover off the beaten tracks places. I love staying with hosts because it offers me all of those things. I host because I want to give back and pay it forward to others what I've received, and it can be a great way of making new friends as well!

Interests

Dancing, drawing, exploring, photography, learning new languages, listening to and (sometimes) making music, dancing ( again).

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was tricked into being a bride at a fake bedouin wedding; afterwards watching falling stars with friends and a blanket in the Jordanian desert Wadi Rum, then climbing up its cliffs in the dark to watch the sunrise from the top, while drinking tea with the Englishman who had thoughtfully brought some with him.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you swing dancing! Or blues dancing, which is really all about connection, so I suppose I can teach you about connection and listening to each other through movement. I also know capoeira and some yoga. I can help you with your English, Spanish, Portuguese; and perhaps you can help me with my French or Arabic?
