ABOUT ME

My name is Isabella, I was born and raised in Italy on the Riviera, by my French mother and my Italian father; I have been living in France (Cote d'Azur) with my mother and our dog for a couple of years now, after having lived abroad and traveled around the globe quite some time. My passion and curiosity for the world continues with my frequent travels. I am quite easy to get along with, flexible, curious, have a good sense of humour and enough common sense, I am practical, well-mannered, very clean, respectful, sensitive, animal lover and interested in animal welfare, non-smoker, social drinker, no-meat eater.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Taking a real interest in people while surfing, and when hosting. Offering a warm cozy environment to hosts, giving tips and advice on the area, showing around when I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CS experience started with my travel around India, I had very positive experiences, as for the indian hosts that were so kind to welcome me, as for other fellow travellers I have met through CS. I appreciated it even more since travelling alone. I hope to meet new exciting persons in my future travels. As for the guests I have hosted sofar, I have had only positive experiences, it is really special to share a bit of each other's lifes with people you didn't know at all (apart from the mail exchanges) before you met them!

Interests

Traveling again and again..., reading, walking in the woods or on sandy beaches, swimming, snorkeling, observing wildlife, world food (particularly veg), opera, theater, musicals, films, some museums, some dancing (south-american rhythms, especially salsa, merengue).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited Nagaland Konyaks' festival Aoling and slept with a local family, stayed with Huaorani indigenous tribe in the ecuadorian Amazon; seen wild/semi-wild orang-utans in Borneo and Sumatra; snorkeled in extraordinary Raja Ampat (Indonesia), walked among loads of pinguins in Punta Tombo (Argentina), slept in a love-hotel in Korea, seen wildlife in Okavango-Delta (Botswana).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach is a big word, but if I can be of any help with my language knowledge... Italian and French are my two mother tongues, plus fluent English, German and Spanish.
Learn anything from others... persons and animals!
Share my travel experiences, good food (cooking together), good laugh.
