To educate myself through traveling, meeting new people and immersing in different kinds of culture and lifestyle.

I was once told by my parents that I am such a wanderer as a kid. I'm always going somewhere. Can't be still in one place. Whenever my friends' family or relatives are inviting me for a road trip, i am always eager to go with them and what's really funny is, I always get it for free. One time, I even jumped right off the bat without any extra clothes with me when our neighbor told me they're going on a trip and invited me to come with them. I was that "LAAGAN" (a Filipino-Visayan term for wanderer).

Currently, I am working in Dubai and being away from my family opened me to a lot things. One, It fueled my hunger for travel. There's nothing more rewarding after a hard days work than traveling, even short trips. Now that I can somehow manage to go some places, my being LAAGAN has validated. Two, It made me realize that people are different because of race, culture, lifestyle and beliefs. And despite all those differences, we are all the same human beings. Our feelings makes us human and being that makes us all the same. Three, being away from the life I am accustomed to has made me love my own country even more. :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

For now, I can't host but I can meet up other couch surfers and be a travel companion around Dubai if i have time. Also, when I'm back in the Philippines, I'd be more than willing to offer help, suggestions too! :D
