About Me
CURRENT MISSION
go to Japan and learn more about it to write an essay!!
Konnichiwa minna! I'm coming in Japan in June 2015 for a month and planning to travel to Tokyo, Sendai, Kyoto and Kuyshu. As I have a book project that takes place in Japan, I'm also very curious to meet japanese people and talk about life in Japan AFTER Fukushima... I hope we can meet up and have some nice time together and if possible, host me for one or 2 nights :)
ABOUT ME
From what I think... open-minded, optimistic, interested by people, travels, movies, music, and so on.
Half Japanese, half Belgian, I'm currently working as a French and Japanese teacher and also freelance journalist. As an Eurasian, I'm quite interested in mixed persons and exchange with them about their feelings on it.
PHILOSOPHY
Epicurean. Give me a good book, a nice Japanese dish and a Kirin draft beer and I'm in heaven on earth.
I like people and talking, but also need and like being on my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
love reggae, soul,...everything that makes me feel good (by opposition to "sad" music)
Love reading about Japan and its society! Like Mishima, Murakami,...I just finished a real good book "Eat, Pray, Love"by Elizabeth Gilbert; one Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia. Although not a believer, I must say I'm more and more interested by Buddhism and her book is a good way of understanding better meditation spirit. I read it during my last travel in Japan and it has been a very good travel companion.
Othewise I'm quite a cinephile, from European movies to asian ones, love to talk aout it!
Teach, Learn, Share
teach French and Japanese.
I'm learning photography and would enjoy anyone who would like to share her/his knowledges with me.
share...what about a nice bottle of red wine? OK, some champagne then :)?
I can cook some Japanese dishes also, which my friends are quite fond of (tonkatsu, miso soup, yakisoba, onigiri,...)and some French and Italian cuisine. Yummy.
