ABOUT ME

How's it world travelers? I am a local haole with a Hawaiian heart. I was born and raised here on O'ahu and graduated from Northern Arizona University in the beautiful mountain town of Flagstaff in 2010. I decided to sell my car and use the funds to travel around Europe with two of my best friends. I had an amazing and eye opening experience and can't wait till my next adventure.

I currently work full time at Sea Life Park on the East side of O'ahu as the Event Manager. It's great to be home in the islands and i love to share my knowledge of this paradise with visitors. I'm currently on a quest to go to as many new places as possible in the 808 state.

Music has consumed most of my free time. I have been playing guitar for just over two and a half years and bought my first one in Venezia. I come from a family of musicians and am committed to mastering the art of music. My house is filled with instruments so let's jam.

Music is our savior. It is the most powerful form of communication we have. It surrounds us always. I wish more of us would open our minds and hearts and listen.

Interests

traveling adventures, jamming of all sorts, cruising with family and friends, valley trails and mountain ridges, becoming one with nature-- being inside waterfalls, cliff jumping, wave riding -- surfing right now but I'd love to try windsurfing and kiteboarding, basically any activity in water is great, everything and anything to do with food, eating, and cooking, as there is almost nothing as good as trying or making something new and delicious, solving problems and coming up with ideas for my future company, obtaining wisdom through knowledge and experience, art in all of its forms, herbal meditation, leaning more about Hawaiian language and history, could go on for a while so I'll stop rambling.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is so much great music and literature in the world! I am open to all genres and enjoy nothing more than discovering a great new author/artist or book/song. However, my favorite types of music are roots reggae, Hawaiian, rock, electronic (after Europe haha) and world. As for movies, I prefer ones with well written plots that have great acting and directing. It would be insane to try and select a list of favorite movies books or musicians as there are so many that I love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked 11 miles into the grand canyon to the Havasupai village and spent time with the local people and elders.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have extensive knowledge of the Hawaiian islands. I can teach you many things about the land culture and food here and take you to places most visitors would never know about. I have an extensive library filled with any kind of book you can imagine including a large Hawaiian section that you are free to browse through and borrow. Couch surfing is a great way to bring the world to you, when your not able to go to the world. Learning from you is perhaps the most valuable education i can receive. Musicians, artists, photographers, scientists, philosophers, anyone really, please come teach me!
