CURRENT MISSION

My friend and i are traveling to tuscany for a wedding in early september. we arrive into rome the night of 9/8/06 at 8:30pm. we would love to couchsurf at someone's home who would love to meet two wacky women who work in the world of advertising.

ABOUT ME

i was born and raised in southern california, but have lived in indiana, new jersey and kansas. each and every place was a great experience. i'm now back in southern california. my parents are still kickin' and have been married (to each other!!) for 56 years. i have one sister. i also have one daughter, almost 18 yrs. old. she is the best. the light of my life. although, like most teenagers, she doesn't know where she's going. i have been in advertising for 16 years. started out as an executive assistant to the president and am now in the creative dept. i get to look at all the great portfolios of art directors, copywriters and designers. i love my job...i love advertising. i surround myself with great friends who are nice, considerate and make me laugh. love to get together with them whether it's for dinner, a play, the hollywood bowl, a game of cards or just drinks. i'm trying to live my life to the fullest and look forward to each and every day. oh yeah, i also always look at my cup as being half full!

PHILOSOPHY

well, i know that i can say that i always look at my cup as being half full! having a very positive attitude is very important to me. don't hang around with people that are negative as they get on my nerves! i love to laugh and have a good time...even at work. i don't believe in first impressions. i like to try to get to know someone first and then form my own opinion. i feel like i'm very much an individual...don't follow the crowd and am very capable of making a decision. and i really, really believe in honesty.

Interests

i have many interests. however, my very favorite thing to do is to go to this little island off the coast of cancun, mexico, called Isla Mujeres. i have been going there every year for the past 18 years. i also like to ocean fish, shoot trap, camp, my family and friends. i'm usually up for anything, if, of course, it doesn't endanger myself or others!

i do like all music except rap crap. anything from alternative to classical to country to jazz/blues, rock and the beatles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

amazing thing that i have done. wow. that's a tough one. i guess it would be raising my daughter to the best of my ability, even though she is from divorced parents. i have always shown her a lot of affection and unconditional love. thank goodness this has rubbed off on her. she is my pride and job...corny as it may sound. ;o)

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach people to have fun and enjoy being themselves. i always want to learn about different people, places and things. and i love sharing my experiences in mexico. it is my place where i love to meet people, lie on the beach in the sun and swim in the beautiful caribbean.
