About Me

My passions are engaging with people and business. So, naturally I’m a social entrepreneur at heart. I love to give back to people while also getting to know them and experience their perspective.
I also love the camera but clearly it does not love me, it's a complicate relationship haha.
I enjoy traveling, engaging with different people and getting to know different cultures.
I like to think that I am spontaneous, merely living in the moment.

I believe in the phrase "immerse yourself". To me this phrase is dear to my heart as it makes me aware that although every individual is different, there is beauty in getting to know others and 'immersing' yourself. Somehow we all connect!

In my culture we have a famous adage that is "Ubuntu" which means 'for the people and by the people.'
So I like to be one with the people wherever I may find myself venturing off to.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish to get to know different cultures and define myself as a 'Global Citizen'. A man with different perspectives and experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: Muzi Kuzwayo - 'Black Man's Medicine'
Music: All genres as long as it touches the soul. Prefer instrumentals.
Future Destinations: Cambodia, Mongolia, Malaysia, Greece, Peru, well anywhere with a unique and exotic cultural or tribal atmosphere to it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Presented multiple motivational speeches to youth in impoverished communities and left having touched and changed their lives. Giving them motivation and a sense of purpose in life. What's more to this is the heartfelt moments I experienced in my interaction with the students and communities.

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn: I'd love to learn about the local culture, the tradition activities, songs, dances, food and attire.

Teach: I would teach my host/s about South Africa, the people, the culture and the beliefs. Oh and let's not forget the jokes (I will share some local memes).

Share: A piece of my love and happiness and a traditional South African recipe.
