About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to travel from Eugene OR to Washington D.C. to flip glen beck the bird! On Aug 28th Glen Beck is giving a speech at the steps of the Lincoln memorial. This summer I plan to couch surf in Eugene to build up my profile on the site.

ABOUT ME

My name is Cory Earhart. I am 24 years old. Turn 25 in July. I have been working with kids for 8 years. I worked at summer camps, swim lessons and day cares. I am an adult with mild Autism. Because of my time working with kids with Autism I have learned many cool and creative ways to work with others who do not think as I do. This inspires me to work with kids with Autism. To show them some one understands. I have a dream to send a message to all people who do not have Autism. We can work together on this.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a very simple person. I like things fun and sincere. I believe that a bag of jelly beans can be as exciting as a roller coaster if you decide to make it that way. I am laid back even for west coast standards

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have traveled across the US staying with people along the way. I simply would not have made it if it were not for the great people I met on here. CS is Amazing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled from Eugene Oregon to Salem. Then into portland. From Portland I stayed with a CSer in Boise Idaho. I took a bus to Denver Colorado to meet a CSer there. We travel together from Denver to Baltimore camping a couch surfing all the way. I visited D.C. and am now in NYC!

Interests

My interest roam from place to place. While swimming is always grounded. I have a multitude of interest. Ranging from politics and religion to Dungeons and Dragons and diablo 2. I am nerdy and adventurous.

Politics: I enjoy the world of politics. I love the U.S.. I wanna know whats going on and see it for myself.

News: I read both CNN and FOX news. I wanna see what each side is trying to say. But when it comes to real reporting I leave it to Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert.
And when I am really in the mood for the real news. TED is the news for man kind.

Swimming: I have worked in swimming pools for the majority of my life. I was an aquatics director for a kids summer camp for four summers. I taught kids swim lessons since the age of 15. I was the head of the U of O swim club for one season. I have been coaching a kids swim team for two years. I guess I just love the pool.

Autism: I have been working with kids with ASD for four years. As an adult with ASD I can have a ton of patience. It is trying at times, however at the end of the day, you realize. Absolutely nobody knows how hard you have worked to help this child. And I assure you. That feels great.

Video games: I have no idea what games are out right now. I really do not care. I roll with diablo 2 on my laptop as well as star craft and Quake 3. Let me know if you wanna throw down. I'm game. I also enjoy hitting up the thumb sticks as well.

Kids: Above all I love working with kids. I don't run around singing and dance to entertain them. I just kinda hang out. And they eat it up.
