Hello, as the profile name says, my name is Israel. However, personally I go by Alex; there's no reason in particular why I chose to go by Alex it's just a random name I picked up. On another note, I am 20 years old, and tend to be open to just about anything. I am currently working on my generals at a community college in order to go into general Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering (I haven't quite made up my mind) and Computer Networking. I haven't really got the chance to travel just yet but I do feel like I am the traveling type.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I got on couchsurfing because I'm going on a trip to Europe. A friend who had been on trip before told me about the site and recommended it to me. I do feel like the people who are on the site are the kind who don't mind expanding their comfort zone and that they take interest in the different cultures and experiences that people have to offer. I feel that if I am right about that, then couchsurfing would be a great fit for me.

UPDATE: I have now visited England and had a wonderful time. If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. I made a couple of friends and had a great time. On a side note, be sure to have a good budget when you decide to come things are a bit on the pricey side. Nevertheless, it is still worth the travel.

Netherlands was fun as well, I didn't really get to see much of Amsterdam but I did make some new friends out there. Utrecht (the city I stayed at) was beautiful. Nightlife there is also nice but starts around 2 am. I also went to a rave out there with one of the friends I met while surfing that was loads of fun. Definitely check it out, the Dutch are easygoing and there is a lot to see out there! Budget wise it was pretty manageable you could find a lot of great food around there the local beers are also a must!

Interessen

I enjoy all sorts of music and I love finding something I haven't had the chance to listen to. I enjoy painting, although I haven't done it much lately and I recently have taken a liking to writing.
I also like to meet people and toss stories around I feel that everyone is interesting especially cause everyone has their own way of being.

Favorite music would be Chon, The Germs, Flux of Pink Indians, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Mister Lies, Slow Magic, Linoskiii, Caravan Palace, as well as others.

My favorite movies include Trainspotting, Lords of Dogtown, Enter the Void, Eternal Sushine of the Spottless Mind, Donnie Darko and Pan's Labyrinth.

I haven't really read much but from what I have I enjoyed reading The Alchemist, The Things We Carry, and Anthem. Most of the reading I tend to do is off of learning books and text books,
