About Me

Hey! I’m Israel
and yes, that’s both my name and where I’m from.

I live by myself in Ramat-Gan (right next to Tel Aviv).

I'm a cook and a food lover, a curious, friendly, and open-minded (mostly solo) traveler who enjoy deep conversations just as much as comfortable silence.
Big fan of the sea - swimming, watching, or just being near it. It calms me down and makes me feel at home wherever I go.

Even though I'm new to Couchsurfing, I'm no stranger to the road. over the last 10 years I've squeezed travel into my life every chance I got - staying in hostels, B&B's, and even through some unforgettable Workaway experiences.
I believe that travel is more about people than places, and Couchsurfing seems like the perfect place to put that belief into practice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After years of traveling, I realized some of the best memories came from spontaneous encounters and unexpected conversations.

I believe Couchsurfing is more than a free place to sleep – it's a way to meet kind, real, fascinating people from all walks of life.

I'm here to host, to be hosted, and to share moments that no hotel or hostel can provide.

Interests

I'm always up for good conversation(with a side of sarcasm 😉), shared meals, and real connections.

👨🏻‍🍳 Cooking and food are a huge part of my life – it’s what I do for a living and also what I love doing in my free time.

💆🏻‍♂️ Not so long ago, while traveling in Thailand, I joined a short relaxing oil massage course just for the experience - and every now and then I still practice at home. It’s just a small, calming hobby that takes me back to that trip.

👨‍🎤 I enjoy live music, especially intimate shows with a good vibe.

📚 Books and I have a complicated relationship: I love reading but I don't do it as often as I'd like.

🌈 I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and supportive, even if I'm not active in the community or into parties and events.
🏖 And like I said – the sea is my safe place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling solo with no real plan, letting the road guide me.

Teach, Learn, Share

👨🏻‍🏫 Teach:
-cooking! Happy to share recipes, cooking tips, or even cook together.
-I can try to teach you some Hebrew

👨🏻‍🎓 Learn:
anything, really. I'm always open to new perspectives, stories, and skills.
I’m always up to learn about your culture, way of thinking, or how to cook something cool from your country

🫱🏾‍🫲🏻 Share:
my kitchen, my couch, travel stories, music playlists, and laughs
If you’re curious about Israel or the Middle East, I’d love to chat openly.
And who knows - maybe even a massage, if the vibe’s right and my hands aren’t too tired from cooking...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company, a home-cooked meal, thoughtful conversation, and a calm vibe.
Also:
A quiet apartment in Givatayim (next to Tel Aviv), with a comfy couch, fully equipped kitchen, small garden, and a lovely roommate you’ll probably barely see but will like if you do.
Super easy public transport to anywhere in Tel Aviv.
