About Me

I'm an Eco-Agro-Tourist (EAT), blending business with biodiversity. I believe in traveling not just to see new places, but to experience new ways of thinking, living, and being. I cofounded Shikamoo, a small Conservation Enterprise turning conservation into meaningful business. We focus on Eco-Agri-Tourism (EAT) within Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA), currently in Malawi, but with plans to grow as well as expand across the Great Rift Valley and beyond. I love stories by the fire, maps with dirt on them, and conversations that start with food and end with laughter.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to connect, share, and learn. Whether I’m hosting or surfing, I love the idea of exchanging stories, meals, and laughs with people from around the world.

To me, Couchsurfing is about trust, openness, and building a global community where everyone feels at home, seeking genuine local experiences, no matter where they are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a co-founder of Shikamoo, I've had the privilege of working with our incredible women-led team to truly turn profit for purpose. We're empowering women's cooperatives along vital Key Biodiversity Areas like Lake Malawi and Nyika National Parks, showing how conservation can directly build community wealth.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: We can discuss integrated approaches to nature and livelihoods, and offer insights into community-led conservation and ethical business practices. I also enjoy sharing aspects of Malawian culture and history.

Learn: I'm always eager to learn about local ways of life, new approaches to sustainability, innovative solutions for global challenges, and the unique triumphs and lessons from different communities worldwide.

Share: I am happy to share my passion for Eco-Agro-Tourism (EAT), environmental stewardship, and engage in meaningful conversations about impactful travel and how we can all contribute to a better world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

“We meet as strangers, leave as collaborators” is my motto. I enjoy swapping traditions, learning yours, and connecting over the rhythms that make a place feel alive. I bring stories from Malawian farms and forests, flavors like chambo and cassava, and experiences from working with community cooperatives. I’m also always happy to help with daily chores—cooking, cleaning, or lending a hand wherever it’s needed—as part of the shared journey.
