CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to leave this earth having proven to as many people as possible that the best things in life are free. I also believe that the more encounters I have with people globally, the more I will be able to give of myself and learn from others.

ABOUT ME

I'm a business journalist that is on something of a new voyage of self-discovery. Learning more about myself is only possible ironically by sharing with others.

So many people have helped me whilst travelling and even here in London (incredible as that may seem!) that I definitely feel like it's time to give back. All those years of random acts of generosity by complete strangers means I now have every legitimate excuse to be kind to others so that the spirit of the people who have come to my aid in a perfectly altruistic sense can live on.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto is to be a better person today than I was yesterday. And of course, to strive to be a better person tomorrow than I was today. Continual self-improvement. It's hard sometimes, but you have to try, and you have to try NOW. Because life's too short to do things tomorrow. I always stop and question everything I'm doing (a friend once told me it's because Sagittarians are philosophical!). Bizarrely, I am often impulsive too (I call it passion) and believe in giving things 100%. "Passion is the difference between living and existing" I always say...! ;-)But above all, I have to be positive. I love harmony and to entertain people, especially to make them laugh and I'm laid-back and very easy to get along with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

To date I've had no couchsurfing experiences, but I'm hoping someone will take pity on me should I decide to travel soon. Conversely, my couch is ready for the first visitor, though I will probably need some notice.

兴趣

I try to keep fit and am a mad cyclist. I'm also in the gym now and again and have just started swing classes, which I would recommend anybody to try as you meet some brilliant people and it's great fun..!!

I'm also very keen on theatre and am a founding member of an amateur dramatics group. If you catch me at the right time, it's highly likely you will be dragged along to one of my productions. You have been warned...!

There really are too many to mention, but I still love The Shawshank Redemption. I don't read as many books as I should because sometimes my nose is stuck in the business pages of a newspaper for too long...!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was born and lived in Africa for 10 years (Malawi). Once you have seen an African sunset, you can never look at another sunset the same. Also, seeing wild animals in the environment they are meant to be in is so soothing it is enough to restore your faith in humanity, if only for a little while. :-)

I'm very liberal and welcome all religions. Where have you travelled to? Where else do you want to go and why? Who have you met that has most impressed you?
