Hi, I’m Emin from Türkiye. Emin means trustworthy in Turkish and comes from Arabic.

I’ve been curious about the world for as long as I can remember; maps, cultures, history and the stories behind places. Over the years, that curiosity led me to live in Slovenia, Poland and Spain.

I’ve worked with an NGO in Istanbul providing middle and high school education to students who have lost one or both parents and with an environmental NGO in Wroclaw, Poland, running educational programs to raise environmental awareness. I’m currently working for a communication agency focused on environmental projects.

I enjoy traveling; observing the beauty of creation, tasting different cuisines and listening to the stories of people I meet along the way. I also love learning languages; I speak Turkish, English and Spanish and I’m currently learning Arabic. I’m especially drawn to Islamic art and architecture, such as Andalusian-style houses with inner courtyards.

I have had some crazy experiences hitchhiking from Estonia to Turkey, Bretagne/France to Turkey, and from Oslo to Bergen and back.

I can teach some Turkish words and I would like to learn Arabic and keep my Spanish fresh.
