Overview
About Me
I'm a set designer who must travel often for work. Money is hard to come by when you're starting out and I often have to travel to other parts of the country. While I'm often given a free flight I'm sometimes not given any place to stay and if hostels are full I am out of luck.
A little about me. I like trivia and often go down lots of rabbit holes about obscure history, art or science. I know a little about everything. I enjoy everything culture and could probably be a good tour guide if I wanted to be. I enjoy gaming a lot especially ones with a good story. I also have a big interest in puppetry and I'm turning my van into a mobile puppet theater soon.
As a person I'm very fun to talk too very passionate about the things I care about and love being goofy and making people laugh. I enjoy peoples company but also get sucked into the computer often without realizing it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'll soon be hosting people but often I have only myself to contribute. I'm a wickedly witty person who has a lot of interesting knowledge to share with people. I also will have lots of free tickets to whatever play I'm working on!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couch surfed with many people in China when I lived there once. I've travelled a lot on foot and by car and have had a lot of life on the fringes and edges. I'm a bit older and kind of done with that now.
Interests
I enjoy exploration more than anything and the big picture. I think like a sociologist but have a heart for real risk and adventure. I'm still trying to find a life and a community and often dabble in whatever new discovery or interest that passes by. I recently got into sailing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Thee oh Sees and The Garden are my favorite bands I enjoy Bukowski and want to expand into more poetry.
I haven't read in a long time but currently I read something about the history of salt that was fascinating.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in China twice. I bought a scooter and drove it to Asheville from Chicago (ow). I hitchhiked to China (just kidding) Florida. Went to a rainbow gathering took bad acid and wandered back a day later completely naked (So funny!) Taken the greyhound bus (a daring feat I assure you.) been to all sorts of nooks and crannies of this little world. I have a thousand and one stories. If you say anything I might have ha a similar experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of different bands and where to find good shows and art in any city. I know about cultural and historical things in general and it's a great love of mine. I'm also a set designer and know how to draft and because of puppetry I know some mechanics of puppetry and design.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Theater tickets, Ins to art gallery openings and shows and tons of knowledge about a lot of subjects.
