I've been an AirBNB host in the past, and while that has been OK, I have often felt that the experience has been just a bit too transactional. I'm always genuinely interested in learning where people are from, why they are in the area, what they hope to do with this one short, precious life of theirs. My hope is that I will get more of that sort of interaction on Couchsurfing.
