ABOUT ME

Well, I've come a long ways. Most people that you meet in China will be from either California, Texas, or New York. I'm sure you won't be another from Iowa. I've been in Beijing over 2.5 years and I've only randomly met two other Iowans.

My first trip to Beijing was as a volunteer for the Olympics. Afterwards, I went home for a few months, and then came back to work on some entrepreneurial projects. Now, I'm working on some really cool stuff.

I spend a lot of my time going out to different events and parties to meet people. Beijing is such a great international city where you can meet all sorts of people with interesting stories.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only been actively a part of CS since August 2011, but now it's been great. I've already accepted my first Couch request, and I've been actively meeting others in Beijing. It seems to be a great community.

Interests

I have almost too many interests, so it's hard to really focus on any one. Largely, I've become more and more interested in Chinese culture, society, politics and history and compare all those things to that of the US.

That's of course in addition to all the great projects I'm working on.
