ABOUT ME

Ola/Hola/Hey! I'm McKenna. I'm an aspiring writer, and I live to travel to as many places as I can in my life. I'm a recent graduate and am currently completing TEFL certification. From there, I'm hoping to get a teaching job overseas that will allow me to travel, learn more languages, and meet people from all over the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Experience life; failure is far better than idleness. At the very least, you'll have cool stories to tell.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I'd love to host couchsurfers, due to my living situation at the moment I'm unable to, however I'd love to in the future! Right now though, meeting people in travel destinations, sharing our cultures and languages, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined just before my study abroad program, so not a lot of experience at the moment, though I did meet some couchsurfers while traveling, and we hung out and had fun. :)

I'll read whatever is thrown in front of me. However, lately I've been reading travel memoirs, and contemporary world literature.

Music - depends on my mood. Lately, music in Spanish and Portuguese has been helping me maintain fluency. Plus it's so fun to dance to ;)

I'm sooo behind on movies...the life of a reader/writer! Comedies are my favorite though.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I studied abroad in Rosario, Argentina for 3 months. For the next two months after, I did my own travels through Argentina and Chile. I did things I never thought I would. I came back home broke and in huge debt, but it was the best thing I've ever done in my life.

I want to be an English or Spanish teacher abroad. In that situation I feel like I'd not only teach but learn about a different culture, customs, lifestyles...and share my own with people too.
