ABOUT ME

I am a student at UCLA with a major in Integrated Biology and Physiology with a minor in Education Studies. I eventually want to become a university professor, focused in the life sciences. I work at a human nutrition laboratory in UCLA studying... food. Effects on cancer/disease, components in different brands, effectiveness of supplements, and so forth.

All of that said, I am really not the typical science nerd. My hobbies include latin dancing, photography, and cooking. I love going out and having fun with my friends and the people around me are very eclectic.

I love traveling and wish i could afford to do more of it! I'm very outgoing, so i manage to have a great time anywhere i go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to participate by learning what it means to be a couch surfer and to one day be able to provide a couch for others (currently live at home, no couch there)... i want to get involved in the community so that i can expand my ideas in traveling!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have definitely slept on many couches. Staying with family and friends all over the world. Moscow, Vienna, San Francisco, Seattle... just ot name a few. But none of them have officially been through CS, so this is new.

Interests

Science, Photography, Dance (Latin, swing, social, you name it), Cooking, Traveling, and sometimes a few crafts. I tend to be handy with a pair of scissors.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I have strange pickings sometimes. I really can like any genre, except not a fan of horror. Comedies are always great, but i can do with a good suspense too. There's a few foreign films out there among my favorites, but i'm not exactly an expert on them.

Music: I LOVE music!! I a huge fan of electronic dance music, specifically HOUSE. I also like pop, r&b, and live for singer/songwriter folky stuff. Jason Mraz and Adele would be perfect examples.

Books: I like strange ranges... I like memoirs (Eat Pray Love, Loose Girl, etc...), but a good satire is fun. Christopher Moore is one of my favorites for that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped deliver a baby cow. intense experience.

Or ran through the fountains of the Peterhof Castle. its just one of those things not many people can say they've done. even those who have visited Russia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking... its the one thing i can teach, learn, and share!!! everybody loves food!
