ABOUT ME

I'm Samantha. I'm a creative, an explorer, and I love people; young and old.

It's more common for me to be in a tree, somewhere upstream, in a field, lost in the mountains, or really any place outside than anywhere else.

However, when I'm not MIA, I enjoy sitting down and spending quality time with people. Whether it's catching up with an old friend or getting to know a complete stranger who I just met in the parking lot... I enjoy exchanging stories, good conversation, sharing hearts and ultimately gaining a better understanding & new found perspectives in order to have a greater sense of compassion.. which is so very valuable to me.

I strive to live minimally and remain detached from the love of "things."

I am learning. Daily.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to be afraid of failing at things that really mattered to me, but now I'm more afraid of succeeding at things that don't matter.

If I only scrape a living, at least its a living worth scraping.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have surfed one time. Here's the scoop:

After wrapping a film that I had been working on for several months, I decided to hop on a plane by myself and explore Chicago for the first time. As anyone would in the Summer time, I fell in love with the city. About 6 months later, my host's roommate moved to Spain, and guess who decided to fill the room! Yep, me.
