My "mission" is to see the world while helping others and getting into all sorts of adventures.

ABOUT ME

I was in the Peace Corps in West Africa for two years. I lived in a grass roof hut in the middle of no where in Gambia doing community development health work in my village. I like to bike, joke around, and getting into memorable adventures. The more I can laugh while doing it the better.
I have listed Bambara as a language I speak but I actually speak Mandinka, a close relative of Bambara.

PHILOSOPHY

I want a bunch of good stories to tell my grandkids.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in Dakar and it was a blast. I've met people that were staying with friends and they seemed to be great people.
I showed two travelers the best of my village while they stayed in my hut with me for a couple days.

Beruit, Rilo Kiley, Man Man, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, ect. I'm ashamed to say but I like bad pop music. I read a lot and love movies so I can't really nail down any specifics on that.

I saw some 10 year old boys kill the most deadly snake in West Africa while we were building a garden. We walked all over the place in our sandals and somehow didn't die.
I've gotten lost in the African bush for 12 hours.
I have jumped my car (on accident).
I have seen a hippo and lived to tell the tale.
