Soy Itzel, mi nombre es maya y soy orgullosamente Mexicana.
Tengo 25 años y estoy tratando de conocer de poco en poco los rincones del mundo, así como a la gente que habita en ellos. Me encanta leer, yoga, nadar, ir a museos, tener pláticas extensas de cualquier tema, cuidar animales y plantitas, entre muchas cosas más.

Actualmente vivo en Alemania y mi sueño algún dia es poder hostear de regreso a gente así como yo lo he ido experimentado en este corto viaje con Couchsurfing.

I am Itzel, my name is Mayan and I am proudly Mexican.
I'm 25 years old and I'm trying to get to know little by little the corners of the world, as well as the people who live in them. I love reading, yoga, swimming, going to museums, having long talks about any subject, taking care of animals and plants, among many other things.

I currently live in Germany and my dream is to one day be able to host people back home as I have experienced on this short trip with Couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Viajar a través de Couchsurfing me ha ayudado a ser más adaptable, abierto de mente y tolerante. Cada experiencia me enseña algo nuevo, ya sea sobre el mundo, sobre los demás o sobre mí misma. He tenido la oportunidad de hacer amigos de todo el mundo, y creo que gracias a Couchsurfing puedo hacerlo aún más. Las experiencias compartidas y las conversaciones significativas con mis anfitriones han creado lazos que espero se conviertan en amistades.

Yo pienso que viajar solo no siempre es fácil, y más a lugares desconocidos. Couchsurfing me hace sentir qu viajar es una experiencia más enriquecedora, significativa y accesible.

Travelling through Couchsurfing has helped me to be more adaptable, open-minded and tolerant. Every experience teaches me something new, whether it's about the world, about others or about myself. I have had the opportunity to make friends from all over the world, and I believe that thanks to Couchsurfing I can do so even more. The shared experiences and meaningful conversations with my hosts have created bonds that I hope will grow into friendships.

I think travelling alone is not always easy, especially to unfamiliar places. Couchsurfing makes me feel that travelling is a more enriching, meaningful and accessible experience.

Me han gustado todos los libros que he leído de Dostoyevsky, y siempre recomiendo El Laberinto de La Soledad por Octavio Paz para que puedan entender un poco la idiosincracia del mexicano. Meditaciones por Marco Aurelio, Guns Germs and Steel por J. Diamond, los poemas de Rumi y Ana Karenina por León Tolstói.

Mis películas favoritas son: Fragmentado, Spirit, Irreversible y La Isla Siniestra por mencionar algunas.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Estoy dispuesta a ayudar en las tareas del hogar, como cocinar, limpiar o cualquier otra actividad en la que pueda colaborar. Si mi anfitrión está interesado, puedo preparar platos típicos de mi país, siempre respeto las normas de la casa y trato de ser un huésped considerado, cuidando el espacio y asegurándome de no ser una molestia.

Me gusta tener conversaciones significativas sobre una variedad de temas, desde viajes hasta intereses personales y temas globales. Soy una persona amigable y abierta, y disfruto de la compañía de los demás. Puedo ofrecer una presencia positiva y amigable en el hogar.

I am willing to help with household chores, such as cooking, cleaning or any other activity in which I can collaborate. If my host is interested, I can prepare typical dishes from my country, I always respect the rules of the house and try to be a considerate guest, taking care of the space and making sure not to be a nuisance.

I enjoy having meaningful conversations on a variety of topics, from travel to personal interests and global issues. I am a friendly and open person, and enjoy the company of others. I can offer a positive and friendly presence in the home.
