Hi! My name is Iurii. I live in St. Petersburg, Russia. I am 20 years old.
I study optics in ITMO university. However, I am not really passionate about it. What is more interesting for me, is music. I play the guitar and have a band, listen a lot, try to improve in this. I like to take photos, walk around beatiful places, read books. I am easy-going, like to have fun (as all people), kind of sensetive. Sometimes I am quiet and thoughtful, but I also qite talkative :)
I would like to find something that I actually want to do and I think travelling and conversations can help me in it, so I am here)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like travelling a lot, but I have been always travelling by renting accomodation. I think, couchsurfing is something new in my trevel experience. I would like to talk with hosts, learn about their culture and also host in the future.

I read really different books, try to catch ideas from it. It is better to say, i like literature than I usually read russian literature: Kuprin, Dostaevski. I also read popular foreign books. The last I remember is Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy which is really amusing)

I think my trip to the mountains in Kaukazus was quite interesting. I was lying and watching starfall almost every night.

I am open for any conversation, new experience. It is always cool to learn something new, and I try to find it especially when I visit another country. It really broadens my mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell about myself and hang out somewhere, share my thoughts of course! I can tell stories, tell about my optical education. I will be glad to play the guitar or something else if you show me how to do it.
