Hello! My name is Ivan, I'm studying architecture in Saint-Petersburg. As everyone around me, I love to travel and meet new amazing people! We always travel around the world with my beloved girlfriend, Zhenya, and we've already been in many cities, such as Moscow, Helsinki, Valencia and Barcelona. We are very easy going and non-conflict people, who love to talk about everything for hours (but if you are more into quiet people, we wouldn't drop a single unnecessary word ;-)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I think it's fun to choose couchsurfing instead of hotels, and not only because it's cheaper! You can meet new interesting people to hang out with, they can show you the city and share some knowledge! Also I can share some nice things with them - show how to cook dishes from russian cuisine, show films made by our famous directors, introduce our contemporary and classical art, and etc.

Why I don't accept guests?
Well, because I live in a small one-room apartment with my mother, and we don't even have an extra bed for any guests :-(

兴趣

I am a crazy bicyclist - I ride it for many years already, built mine by myself, and basically know everything about this stuff! I probabla could advise you how to build your own.
As well as cycling I'm quite into jogging - it increases my mood and health everytime, so it's a great way to spend an hour a day doing this.

My music taste is very wide - I love to listen almost everything, from tehcno and house to indie rock and classical music, russian and foreign of course. My fauvorite ones are Mac DeMarco, Foals, Alt-J, King Krule, Balthazar, Beach Fossils, Homeshake, Tyler the Creator. Also I am a fan of classic rock - Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd.
Some of russian musicians - Mumiy Troll, Leningrad, Sonic Death, Marksheider Kunst, Parks Squares and Alleys.

Literature is another wide side of my life - I read almost everyday, and as well as with music, have a lot of fauvorite foreign and russian authors. Pelevin, Nabokov, Huxley, Zamyatin, Anna Gavalda, Erich Fromm, Jonathan Safran Foer, and a lot others :-)

I think the best things that I've done are connected with my profession - architecture. I love to create new amazing things, solving problems, drawing and modeling.

I can introduce you russian culture in a very different ways - we can cook some of our traditional dishes, watch some great films made by our directors, and etc
Soon as I call myself an architect, I can give you any advice on this topic - whether you want to figure out how to reconstruct your own apartment, or build yourself a house or office. I have a nice experience in architecture software (ArchiCAD, Revit, SketchUP and etc), as well as in software for creating music and films - GarageBand, Logic Pro, Final Cut.
And last, but not least - I have more than 10 years experience in playing different music instruments (main is guitar), and we could possibly jam together :-)
