My name is Ivan, I just finished high school and I'm taking a break for half a year to focus on work and hopefully travelling. My parents are Croatian but I was born and raised in Sweden meaning that I grew up embracing two different cultures (that's why I'm a polylenguist, not because I'm smart). I'm a social and happy person who loves to joke around. I try to greet each new day with a smile. I'm very spontaneous and I'm down for most adventures as long as I have sufficient funding which is rarely the case because I suck at keeping a stable personal economy. I'm very extroverted and love hanging out with people. I also love travelling (of course) which is why I joined this community. I love seeing new places, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I try to fill each day with a unique experience worth remembering. Other than that I love video editing and I always bring a camera to capture new sites and experiences.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

A big reason is that it will enable me to travel more independently. I wont need to travel with a friend because I will meet new people on the trip. I'm hoping that by couchsurfing, I will meet a lot of new people and hopefully create new friends along the way. Another reason is to truly experience every place I visit. I don't want to miss out on things because I only did regular turist stuff.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love watching movies and have seen a lot of them. I like everything from Star Wars to Lalaland. One of my favourite movies of all time is The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. As for books, I am a big fan of the rangers apprentice series and also Harry Potter of course.

Now on to music. I ALWAYS bring headphones with me because music is my life. I listen to nearly every genre, Rock, Pop, Trap, RnB, Soul, Reagge, Croatian/Swedish folk you name it. Some of my favourite bands and artists include Queen, Avicii, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, N.W.A., ACDC, Lynrd Skynrd, The Beatles, Macklemore and so on. As you can see I have a pretty mixed music taste.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I once created and held a food festival at my highschool. The festival housed 2500 students and was a big event throughout the school day. Together with two girls, I managed to bring different food trucks with food from all across the world to gather at the schoolyard. It was an amazing day and I'm really proud of what I accomplished.
