MY HOMETOWN
I`m born and live in Dnipro, one of the largest cities in Ukraine. It`s industrial, in some parts modern, a bit noisy, and, what is much interesting, placed on the coast of Dnipro with the longest riverfront you saw (:

I`m a bookworm and boardgamer, in love with movies, nature and ethnic crafts.

Also, the elder of 7 children in the family (: I love to work with my own hands an always able to help in some hard but necessary occasions.

Since I was 17, I hitchhiked across my country several times, live in hosts houses, camping tents, sleeping by a campfire, met my kind of people at different Gatherings and Fests and so on.

For several last years, I mostly practice short-distance trips with my wife. We are hitchhikers with our own camping stuff, and most of our communications with locals was small-talks with truckers or auto drivers /: It was a time of quick travels to the sea, mountains or forest (yeah, all-in-nature-places :).

So now, we hopefully looking for new contacts with different people and slowly move out of our shell :)

I`m here to meet up, to share some good vibes with new people in a walk by Dnipro and/or to find new in your country, city and culture.

If I`m interested in something - it`s literally a passion :) I left university for working in a bookstore and travel at weekends, then roll out of it to the book publishing house and then to the boardgames club.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love World music, Country, Folk and Blues. And if it was easy to say for music, my preferences in books or movies are... complicated (:
For example, here some neighbourhoods on my bookshelf: The Sandman comicses, full collection of "Moomin" stories by Jansson, some poems by Keats, Celan, Rilke and Whitman, and then - P. K. Dick, Vonnegut, Kerouac and Brautigan, Borges and Steven Fry etc. etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three-in-one cool thing:
*I`m translated for myself from English into Ukrainian a lot of beatnik poetry and some prose... not a great work, but means a World for me.
*Also, I`m writing my own stories as Dungeon Master (host of the game in Dungeon & Dragons) - new dimensions, worlds, villains and heroes! A bit childish, I know, but happens to be totally fun.
*I made bookshelves, table mirror and closet-hangers out of wooden sticks by my hands and some nails (check out photos of my house)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you:
- how to carve some necklace out of avocado seed (yeah)
- what kind of myths or tales you may check to be amazed
- we can share our favourite music, films and books lists to each other
- you can learn from me how to cook Laurent pie, Falafel, Derun (Carpathian dish) and a lot of other vegetarian food :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help you with housework (also in the garden or with animals, I love animals).
I can cook some tasty food... it doesn't look like, but it`s delicious, trust me :D
