Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To think, to grow, to learn, to find my path of true happiness, and maybe help someone to find theirs on my way..
ABOUT ME
Born in Shanghai, grew up in Hong Kong, went to college in Los Angeles. A Redditor, Funnyjunker, Youtuber, a seeker of truth, a gardener, an addict to good food and drinks, an engineer by nature by not by trade (sadly). Would love to get my hands dirty, like that show "Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe." Can be a bit shy at times, but can always turn strangers into friends. Too weird to live, but not rare enough to not die, yet.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe life is only worth living with passion; otherwise we might as well be like a jellyfish... and drift with the current of fate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfing due to travel. Would love to host, but my place is too small. Not to mention I'm not even living in my own house for at least 30% of the year.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far.
Interests
Gamer for life. Love food, drinks, books, music, movies, comedy, racing, space/science/technology. Believe in transhumanism, is a homo-evolutist, and a tech-junkie. Currently trying to learn guitar, French, Spanish, programming, rock climbing, Ayuveda/Chinese medicine, and everything science. Want to do too many things, but not enough time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anything but braindead music... Love Tool, Pink Floyd, Opeth, Miles Davis, DJ Shadow, Krush, Nujabes, and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Movies: My fav: Se7en, Samsara, Kentucky Fried Movie, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop.
Books: Omnivores' Dilemma, The Drunkard's Walk, a certain guidebook about interstellar towels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Was able to impress from Alwyn Corban, the owner and wine maker of Ngatarawa Wines, by naming a grape variety (Gewürztraminer) of the 2008 Late Harvest that he missed.
Used a Mamiya RB67 pro to shot my cousin's wedding photo... outdoor, all day.
Identified Martin Yan from Yan Can Cook when no one else could. Shook hand with that man.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learn: I'm open to ANYTHING (well, most things. I do have a baseline, like I'd never murder babies, or mix soysauce with Durian juice.)
Teach/Share: There are few things I feel comfortable teaching anyone right now: 1. how to appreciate various alcoholic drinks; 2. how to cook basic Chinese food; 3. a simple set of exercise called the Yi Jin Jing.
