ABOUT ME

I am a fun loving and free spirited person. I believe in experiences and adventures over material possessions. This drive is pushing me to see the world before settling down into "reality." My travel career started out on a superficial cruise ship my senior year of high school, it blossomed in the warm climate of southern Spain, and now is completely integrated into the fibers of my life. I currently am developing a travel blog and YouTube channel. If you want to find out more you can Google 'Ivan the Intrepid'.

My philosophy is simple. Keep an open mind, let nothing hold you back, and never give up on your quest for happiness and satisfaction.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have just been a big mooch! I have taken more than I have given but I plan on giving it all back in a big way. It is such an amazing project that I am a huge advocate for! Unfortunately I am either never home or do not have my own place to live... but, to my defense, not many people pass through Boise, Idaho anyways.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in the United States, Europe and South America. Every time I have an amazing experience that can´t be beat, I have another one just as phenomenal.

I am more likely able to list the things I am striving to do then the things I have done.

One of my bucket list items was:

Traveling from nearly coast to coast in South America via the Amazon River Basin. Nearly 3 weeks on boats and hammocks!

I want to learn about other people's cultures, rituals and heritage as well as share mine with them. We're not all bad over here in the U.S. of A. ;)

My favorite thing about Couchsurfing is the growth and personal knowledge you gain from the experience. I love to talk about philosophy, political agendas, social/cultural norms, and any other differences that we or our cultures may have. I want to learn, understand and empathize; not judge.
