ABOUT ME

Altough being a real 'Rotterdammer' as they say, i actually never felt more at home than in Switzerland, surrounded by mountains, where i lived two years of my life. I went from being a moneyhungry, overambitious, over zealous, nothing-is-ever-good-enough- careerchaser in my early twenties, to a life-loving, peaceful, content, real person after travelling for four years. Even tough i have had troubles not falling in my old patterns, i can now say that i enjoy just being.

PHILOSOPHY

Listen to your gutfeeling when it comes to life. Your life is to be lived now, not in the future. Every day is another day. Today is not a day on the way to the life you might wanna have some day, but its already part of the life you have. The life you might wanna have some day, may never come, so make today the best day ever.
And treat EVERY habitant of this planet with love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting people has been the single most satisfying experience of all my travels, and i found the best way to experience a country is through the eyes of the people who live there. When in Australia and new Zealand thats how i got around, ( not via CS) and these people are still friends, and i will never forget them. I want to be able to do the same for others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Australia i stayed with familymembers of people i met in Switzerland, and to this day i cannot fanthom why they would take people in they have never even met, but they made my oz-experience the better for it. When familymembers of them travelled Holland while i wasnt here, i convinced my mom to do the same, and even tough she swore she would never take in strangers, she did, cuz their family was so kind to take in her daughter. They end up having a great time here.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Standing on a beach in New Zealand in front of a sea-lion ( about a meter away), with in the one corner of my eye a sheep, and then in the other corner of my eye a penguin starts walking onto the beach. I started laughing so hilariously, that i didnt care anymore that it was icecold and POURING rain ( underwear-wet raining)!

The art of life is what im trying to master, of really living to your hearts content. I tend do get caught up in the whole; We need to make a career and make lots of money, and buy lots of stuff- type of thing, which i know is not really me.
Ive learned some of this while travelling, but im never to old to learn more.
What i can teach other people? To have fun!
