About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to give my kids the gifts of intercultural perspective, flexibility, adaptability, and courage that travel provides. to learn how to navigate the world as a mother instead of a single girl, meet other families and learn about their cultures from inside.

ABOUT ME

I organize a collaborative community of individual households in my neighborhood. We share property, meals, gardens, childrearing, small farm operations, celebrations.....After wandering and travelling as much as possible for many years, I have dug in very deep roots here in Portland. Our clan continues to experiment with natural and alternative buildings, food production, and new models of living together--not just next to each other.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is our greatest masterpiece. Live it like it's a work of art, a wild story. Name yor desires and move toward them, however slowly. Eventually you will be living them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My home is a hub of community activity, and we regularly house campers, couch surfers, and guests in our sauna and basement. I've just joined CS and am looking forward to expanding our community internationally--especially because I don't travel as much anymore since the babies came along.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I love to find local people to stay with when travelling. This is a wonderful way to make it easier.
