My wife, Sam, and I both enjoy the honest and true parts of life. We seek genuine experiences when we travel, always trying to find the best local food, ecology, art, and whatever else comes our way. We love to be outside, whether that is running, biking, backpacking, or gardening. These interests often shape our trips.

I am an aspiring chef and Sam is completing her doctorate in Physical Therapy.

I love to see new places through the eyes of those who live there. There is so much to be learned from different locales and that can often never be done through a traditional hotel, etc. I like genuine experiences not ones that are necessarily purchased or manufactured and couch surfing seems to be a way to do that.

I enjoy cooking, regional/native foods/cooking techniques/agricultural practices, cycling, running, music, and art. I love learning about what is true, whether that is history, faith, or relationships with others. I also play the cello, guitar, and bass.
