ABOUT ME

I am a daughter of Maize, a Maya Woman, a Mayanist researcher, born in the mountains of Guatemaya. My mother taught me all about human essence and I owe to her the woman that I have become. Life took me to finish some of my studies in USA, Europe, Asia, and I have worked and continue travelling in many countries around the globe. I enjoy meeting people of any cultural background and steps of life. I enjoyed travelling, reading biographies of women, am interested in doing and taking seminars on personal growth, last not least I spend enjoyable time with my family and friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Where I am right now is exactly where I am supposed to be!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My studies and work keep me moving around the world.
Therefore, I take every opportunity to share, empower, inspire to better serve others in my capacity.
I am a volunteer for www.aidanded.org, a non-profit organization that helps with funds for school and public health so that disadvantaged Maya children can attend school in Guatemala.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My recent CouchSurfing experience was in Bali. Paulina
was an outstanding host in Ubud, and she and I have become friends for life. Her hospitality and generosity towards me are beyond words. She showed me her Bali, which she had known for decades and she taught me how to batik. I am so grateful to her and to the existence of SurfCoaching.

Interests

My interests bring me so much joy in life: travelling, reading, practicing Taichi-Chikong, swimming, walking, social in-depth conversations on issues of healing, peace, economics...I welcome many other topics!

Music, Movies, and Books

Amongst many, I like documentaries, biographies, drama, travel and funny films. One film I just saw which I find wonderful is "The End is my Beginning", from the book by Tiziano Terzani. Latin music, opera, clasical music. I enjoy the books written from the discourses of Osho, contemporary books written by Amana and Krish Trobe, by Diana Richardson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done in my life is
educating my two daughters, who are now adults and have become model women for others.

Teach, Learn, Share

It is wonderful for me to learn, to share, and if people ask me and allow me to, I love to teach what I have learned. If anybody I come in contact with needs my expertise especially in travelling, I would like to share it. I am also very good at listening!
