My name is Izabela. I live in Milan.
I'm 25 years old.
I was born in Brazil but my family and I moved to the US when I was only 9. We've been in NYC, Boston and Austin (Texas), where I went to school and learnt English and (Mexican) Spanish.
When I was 13 my family moved to Italy, so I graduated from college in Italy. I've chosen to study languages: Greek, Latin, Spanish, French, English and Italian of course. I've studied literature as well as grammar.
I've recently spent a year in the Netherlands where I've learned basic Dutch.

I consider myself a citizen of the world, cosmopolite. Since I grew up in many different countries during my childhood and adolescent hood I feel comfortable anywhere with true people.

I really enjoy traveling. When I travel I like to discover more about the places that I visit that are not resumed to touristic points. I love know places from locals' pont of view. I believe that traveling means, not only knowing new places but meeting new people and sharing life experiences as well.

I was a surfer in past, but I still skateboard. Now, I'm learning snowboarding. :)

I'm a vegetarian, I don't smoke and don't drink alcohol.
I'm traveling addicted, I love go camping (I've proudly got a ARPENAZ FAMILY 4.1 ... you know what I mean!).

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing mainly because I'd like to meet people and travel. In past I've used Couchsurfing a lot to host CSurfers, so I'd like to return -somehow- all hospitality I've received.

I'm still travelling, as they say, "a real traveller never stops travelling, inside his heart", so the second reason why I'm on Couchsurfing is to be hosted by nice people, when I travel.

About music: I love reggae, Bob Marley for sure but also 60's or 70's reggae music. I've recently seen Anthony B show.

My favorite movie is Into the Wild, which is a drama. But my favorite genre of movie is comedy. I really love Jim Carrey, I've watched all his movies, I guess.

I enjoy reading and writing, that's why I've studied languages and literature! Verga, Pascoli, D'annunzio, Pirandello <3 , Marinetti, Montale, Saba, Levi and many others.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

July, 2020: Caminho de Santiago from Porto (Portugal) to Santiago (Spain) by foot 258km in 8 days.

I was volunteer during FIFA's World Cup 2014 in my home town, Curitiba - Brazil. Where I met so many people from all over the world.
