About Me

hello ;) My name is Izabela & I come from Warsaw in Poland. I've been traveling for almost one year so far in South-East Asia and East Asia and I must admit that's the most wonderful experience I could ever have in my life!!! :) I simply love being constantly on the way as I trust that the world has got so many beautiful things to offer. I'm very enthusiastic about excellent people I can luckily meet somewhere in the other corner of the globe, about their attitudes, customs, cuisine and generally lifestyle. Sometimes I try to go out from the beaten tourist path to experience something really adventurous and unique. I traveled through Burma by the bicycle, sleeping in the tent or staying in some tribal villages with some local communities, I was a helper in the Cambodian orphanage and student in the Thai massage school. I'm nature lover and I like to spend my time actively. I'm also a photographer however in my opinion still more amateur than professional.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet the fellow travelers as well as hosts - people from all over the world to learn something about them, their interests, cultures and also to share experiences with new friends.

Interests

modern art & photography, documentary movies, architecture & interior design, travels. My dream is to learn play piano...well maybe one day when I'll have a little bit more stable life :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Book authors: James Clavel, Tiziano Terzani, Lisa See, Liao Yiwu ....and many others. I read novels, reportage, documents, history, criminals, fantasy and everything what I find interesting :)
Music starting from classic, jazz, piano, spanish guitar, fado, ethnic, film music to rock & roll ....
I like also theater: drama & musicals, music concerts, south american dance styles, contemporary art.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As somebody said: "if you don't know the local language, you can always share a smile". That's true. Despite of the language barriers a smile, body language, positive attitude and open mind are universal almost for everybody wherever you are...The most important lessons about life during my travels I've received from the people I met randomly and unexpectedly somewhere at some time.
