About Me

Izabella, but you can call me Bella :)

I am 28 years old and since I was a child I have always loved to travel. My first international trip was on an exchange program to Kingston, Canada, when I was 17 years old.

When I returned to Brazil, I tried to study to be a doctor, but since life is this crazy and fluid thing, I ended up going to law school and graduating in 2020, in the midst of a pandemic.

I am passionate about discovering new places, people, experiences and culture. Since I started working, I save what I earn to travel and I've already had the opportunity to visit several cool places around the world.

Because of this love for the world, I went through a career transition and today I no longer advocate. I work at a travel agency and I make custom itineraries, in addition to giving travel tips on my instagram.

I am the eldest sister of four children from the same father and mother and here in my house there is no lack of movement. Full house always, and I love it. But I also love my favorite corner of the world, which is my bedroom. In it, I do things I love, like watching movies, reading books, meditating, planning trips and planning my life.

As a good descendant of Italians I love pasta and I don't eat seafood. And if there's one thing I love as much as traveling, it's popcorn and chocolate.

Ah, I almost forgot: I'm passionate about soccer, I have a favorite team and I also play football every week, I'm a goalkeeper. I love physical activities and healthy lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always knew I would sign up to the platform at one time or another.

Since I learned of its existence, I was interested in being part of the platform. This is due to the simple fact that while it is possible to save on a trip, I would be able to have a more real and close connection with people who actually live in different places, with different cultures.

I fell in love with this experience since my exchange to Canada, when I spent a year living in the home of a family I didn't know.

Now, as I plan on taking a trip to Europe for a few weeks, I decided it was the ideal time to be part of this community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Career transition. It was certainly the bravest thing I've ever done in my life. And I'm still living it all. It's really nice to feel full and fulfilled simply because I had the courage to follow my dreams.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to learn everything the host is willing to teach me about the culture of the country/city. I love hearing real stories, when they tell of life experiences...

I would love to see new places through the eyes of a local rather than a tourist.

I also love sharing my experiences and my culture, both in Brazil (my country) and Minas Gerais (my beloved state).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my experiences, maybe teach a little Portuguese. But what excites me most is sharing good times.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Peru, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
