ABOUT ME

I am a teacher of Russian and linguistics and I love languages, all the languages although, of course I have been able to learn just some of them. My wife is a Yakout (a people of Siberia). We enjoy travelling and we think that it's a rather disappointing experience to travel in a country not having any contact with the people because a country however beautiful it is isn't just a collection of natural sites and of monuments. I like many other things and am open to talk about various topics.

PHILOSOPHY

The linguistic and cultural diversity is the most enriching thing in the world and now that people finally begin to think about ecology (which is very important to me) it's hard time to think about an ecology of languages and cultures too.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the moment, I met quite a lot of people from different countries. I'm not able unfortunately to meet all the requests but as soon as I'm available, I try to help travellers. I also travelled very sucessfully myself with CS. I don't have time now to participate in an other way in the project...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met many people and travelled with Couchsurfing. No bad experiences. It's a great project!

兴趣

I like sport (cycling, walking, basque pelote, a basque local sport with a ball and a racket against a wall). I enjoy travelling of course and speaking foreign languages. I don't like to go to a foreign country not studying at least a little the language. I'm also a specialist in linguistics and I dedicate much of my time to investigating various languages for fun and for my job. When I have time, I like reading litterature, walking and (sometimes) cooking. My wife likes doing handcraft and painting and she also collects dolls in national costumes and fridge magnets of various countries.

I'm quite eclectic. I read litterature from many countries when I have time enough. Enjoy folklorical music, chorals, and some other types of musics. I have too little time to dedicate to go to the cinema, unfortunately and watch films on the TV when I have time.
