About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My puppy and I are going to hitchhike the U.S. over the next 6 months.

ABOUT ME

I've got gypsy blood. When I'm somewhere too long I get extremely restless. I love the outdoors, but snow can suck it. There are few things worse than wading through 2 feet of snow in soaked shoes. I like all kinds of art, music, and literature. I'm a book worm, and maybe just a little bit nerdy. I'm extremely open minded with just about anything. Don't let my age fool you, I'm wise beyond my years. But then again, sometimes I can act like the biggest baby on the face of the earth. I can entertain myself for hours with bubblewrap. Sad, I know.

PHILOSOPHY

never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about

Music, Movies, and Books

the bell jar; sybil; girl, interupted; Paradise Lost; Romeo and Juliet; the Autumn trilogy; Hater; Dog Blood; I like all types of music, introduce me to something new :} I'm a bit of a zombie movie nerd. I also like those movies you need to watch a few times to really understand.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far...the most amazing thing I did in my life was defy death by dehydration down the hermit trail in the Grand Canyon.

Last July (WORST month to hike the canyon) my boyfriend at the time and I decided to hike down the Hermit trail 6 miles to Cathedral Steps at Grand Canyon. look it up, it's a tough trail. There's hardly any shade so you're exposed through most of it and there's no water unless you bring a purifier. We, sadly didn't have one. We underestimated the extreme heat, and were a little bit cocky from our last hike down the Hermit trail and didn't pack nearly enough water. We ran out of water about a mile and a half from the top and had to hike the hardest part on 2 gulps of vitalyte/water which we were saving for when one of us absolutely needed it. Luckily we had stopped during mid-day and napped and rested until sunset. About 100 ft from the rim I hit the wall. It was the worst feeling in the world. I cried for what felt like days, but eventually kicked my ass into gear and dragged myself up to the top. If we hadn't stopped and waited until it was dark, there is no doubt in my mind that at least one of us would have died that day.

Teach, Learn, Share

well...I'd love to learn about medicinal herbs and how to find, pick, prepare, and apply them.
