About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To take risks. And to follow my curiosity wherever it leads me.

PHILOSOPHY

Just trying to live in the present moment. Trying to spend more time in my body. I'm also really interested in focused physical practice and how this cultivates awareness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am about to embark on my first CS journey next month. I'll travel across the US from East to West, hopefully meeting some cool people and having amazing new adventures along the way.

I think this forum is an amazing opportunity for people to get connected and share resources. I'll let you know how it all plays out as I embark on my first CS road trip!

Interests

In no particular order:

dance (particularly Contact Improvisation, i.e. exploring what happens when I throw my body at your body . . . you can ask me about it), knitting, swimming, biking, hiking, canoeing, baking, meditation, reading, running through fields, campfires, the smell of my clothes after a campfire, surfing, board games, playing in the sun, rolling down hills, oh there's so many. Maybe that's enough for now.

Oh, and laughing. Let's not forget about laughing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Just finished "Radical Acceptance" by Tara Brach. Would definitely recommend this book to all.

Also "The Apprentice" by Jacques Pepin. An autobiography of the famous French chef by the same name. A sweet, easy read.

Book recommendations are always welcome.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about dance. Ballet, jazz, modern, contact improv, you name it. I can also teach basic knitting. Or physics. I love talking and thinking about physics.

I want to learn sign language and how to rock climb. Also cooking. I love to cook, but I'm not very confident. Would appreciate some help in this area.
