About Me
Hey! These are my values:
1. Be respectful.
It's extremely important to me that I respect you, your home, your city, and your culture. That also means having good hygiene :P
2. Be engaged and have fun!
Make friends, explore around town, watch a sunset, get out in nature, carpe diem and all that jazz! And if you're interested in something you'd like to share then I'd love to experience it.
3. Give back.
I know hosts don't expect any reward for hosting, but I like to repay your generosity in some way. Maybe it's helping with chores, buying you some beers, or cooking dinner for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Story Time :)
In 2014 I was hitchhiking alone on the side of a quiet highway on the way to Motueka, New Zealand. The sun was setting, it was dark, and I thought I was going to have to sleep in the bushes. Then a single car flew by me and, after a few seconds, screeched to a halt and waited for me. The guy who picked me up was a Māori man named Andre, and even though he didn't have a lot of money, he made me dinner, bought us drinks, and trusted me to stay in his home (my first time sleeping on a stranger's couch!).
I'm on couch surfing because that experience taught me that a person who trusts a stranger in his home is probably a great person to spend some time with, and I'd love to meet you awesome hosts.
